On Friday 2nd June, NAPIT were the immensely proud headline sponsors of Northern Ireland’s Electrical Awards 2023. The event is to recognise the achievements of the top electrical contractors, consultants, suppliers, people, products, and projects across Northern Ireland.
NAPIT Head of Commercial, Stephen Melton, joined the celebrations and was on hand to present the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Steve said: “It was an honour to present the posthumous award to Derek Thompson, who sadly passed away last year. His tireless contribution and dedication to improving quality and raising standards in the electrical industry was inspiring and his loss is felt by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him.”
Derek’s two sons, Mark and Andrew received the award on their father’s behalf after an incredibly moving tribute honouring Derek and all he achieved.
Hosted this year at the Crowne Plaza, in Belfast, Steve continued to say “it really was a fantastic night of celebration with an incredible turn out. We are already looking forward to sponsoring the next event.”
